慈向群，男，著名畫家、設計家、編審、國家一級美術師。1959年出生于美術世家，1984年畢業(yè)于中央工藝美術學院（現(xiàn)清華大學美術學院），師從于張仃、李苦禪、吳冠中、余秉楠、姚慶章等著名藝術大師和著名教授?，F(xiàn)為中國美術家協(xié)會會員、中國裝幀藝術設計協(xié)會設計家、中國書畫名家研究會副理事長、中央美術學院、城市設計學院等藝術學院兼職教授、中國書畫收藏學會副會長、中國當代藝術協(xié)會名譽主席、世界教科文衛(wèi)組織首席藝術家、中國藝術名家研究院、北京當代環(huán)球書畫院、宋莊國際書畫院等書畫院名譽院長、《世界文化名人辭?！肺瘑T會、中國國際藝術網(wǎng)、英格蘭皇家藝術基金會等機構藝術學術顧問，曾為中國工藝美術家協(xié)會、世界藝術家協(xié)會、美國海外藝術家協(xié)會、聯(lián)合國美術家協(xié)會等協(xié)會理事和副主席。
